B1・HB1祝迫 芳郎 展

祝迫芳郎は２００８年に新生展うわむき賞を受賞し、昨年新生堂にて初めて個展を開催しました。
動物や生物、食品など身近な素材をモチーフに、風刺をとりいれたユーモアあふれる作品が彫金や七宝、樹脂などの素材によって表現されています。
窮地に追い込まれたネズミ、親鳥をフライドチキンにされ食べられた敵を討つために立ちあがったヒヨコ、宿敵である蛇の柄のコートを身にまとったカエルなど、人間に対する動物たちの目線でもあり、また私たち人間社会の中でも起こりえる事柄をユニークに表現しています。
兜や鎧のような硬質なモチーフから、動物の柔らかいフォルムまでもが金属や樹脂によって巧みに表現されているのもまた、観るものの興味を強く引き寄せます。

祝迫は1975年鹿児島県に生まれ、東京藝術大学工芸科で彫金の技術を学び、2000年に同大学彫金専攻の修士課程を修了。現在は東京藝術大学工芸科彫金非常勤助手を務めながら作品を制作しています。
昨年の個展以降は、韓国テグ市で行われた「Daegu art fair2009」（新生堂ブース）や、銀座洋協ホールで行われた「Field of Now」（新生堂ブース）などに出品し、その愛嬌あふれる作品に国内外問わず皆顔をほころばせました。

そして2010年、新たな軍をひきつれた「祝迫芳郎展」を開催いたします。
さまざまな作品から醸しだされる物語やメッセージを読みとってみてはいかがでしょうか。

Yoshiro Iwaisako received Uwamuki award at Shinsei-ten in 2008, and last year, his first solo exhibition was held at Shinseido. Recently he had exhibition both domestic and overseas.

Animals and foods are selected as motif of his art work, he makes them by toreutics or cloisonne.
Interestingly, he always takes in some ironic into works, for example, chicks they are angry because of their parents are killed and cooked to fried chicken for Christmas dinner, frogs wanted to beat their enemy-snake- so that frogs raise an army to stand up.
We find that these animals position is very similar to people in our human’s community. Thorough these works, Iwaisako wants to show that the attitude of trying to carry out a matter which seems relatively impossible without giving up is very important.

He was born at Kagoshima prefecture in 1975. After learning technique of toreutics at Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2000, completed master’s program of major in toreutics. Now, he is making art works with teaching as a part time professor at Tokyo University of the Arts.
