1945 | Born in Obuse city, Nagano prefecture as the 3rd son of a Japanese Painter, Kiyoyuki Nakajima |
1969 | Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Fuculty of Fine Arts, Japanese Painting Course. Exhibited at the 54th In-ten for the first time and shortlisted for one of the awards |
1971 | Completed the Master Course at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School Became a member of The Nihon Bijutsuin (The Japan Art Institute) |
1977 | Received an Encouraging Prize at the 32th Haru no In-ten (and again in ’78 and ’89) Received an Encouraging Prize at the 62 In-ten (and again in ’81, ’88 and ’91) |
1979 | Received Yushu-sho (Outstanding Performance Award) at the 5th Yamatane Museum Award Exhibition |
1984年 | Became one of the committee members for setting up the 1st Yoko no Kai (until the 10th, the final exhibition in 1993) |
